Principal Civil Engineer

• Lead the planning, design, and delivery of public infrastructure and land development projects from concept through construction
• Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for roadway, grading, drainage, water, wastewater, and utility improvement projects
• Serve as Engineer of Record on major infrastructure projects
• Build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, public agencies, developers, and private clients
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, staffing, and overall project performance
• Lead proposal development, interviews, contract negotiations, and business development efforts
• Mentor engineers, project managers, and designers while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture
• Work alongside firm leadership to identify strategic growth opportunities and expand R.E.Y.'s presence throughout the Bay Area

• California Professional Engineer (PE) License
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• 15+ years of progressive civil engineering experience
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Strong background in Public Works, municipal infrastructure, utilities, or land development projects
• Demonstrated success managing client relationships and delivering complex engineering projects

• Established relationships with Bay Area municipalities, agencies, and private clients
• Strong business development and proposal leadership experience
• Experience mentoring engineers and developing future project managers
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and industry-standard hydraulic or stormwater modeling software
• Passion for growing teams, building client partnerships, and contributing to firm leadership
