Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVOR Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Cardiac OR Nurse - Job Summary - Prepares the cardiac operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready and sterile. - Assists surgeons and anesthesiologists during cardiac surgeries (e.g., coronary artery bypass grafting, valve replacements, heart transplants). - Monitors patient vital signs and responds to changes in patient condition during surgery. - Maintains a sterile environment and follows strict infection control protocols. - Coordinates with the surgical team to ensure effective communication and patient safety. - Provides preoperative and postoperative care and education to patients and their families. - Documents all aspects of patient care and surgical procedures accurately and promptly. - Handles and accounts for surgical instruments and supplies before, during, and after procedures. - Participates in ongoing training and professional development related to cardiac surgical procedures. - Responds quickly and efficiently to emergencies or complications during surgery.
