What You’ll Do

This role is responsible for safely transporting Seven Sons products among distribution partners, cold storage facilities, and other logistics locations, ensuring accurate documentation, on-time deliveries, and compliance with all DOT regulations. Drivers also support the movement of packaging materials and other operational assets needed to keep our fulfillment network running smoothly. This position requires professionalism, strong communication, and close coordination with Seven Sons team members and third-party logistics partners. Safety is a core expectation, and drivers must operate company vehicles responsibly while adhering to all DOT regulations and company safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate company vehicles, including box trucks and other commercial vehicles.

• Load and unload products, including boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Plan and follow delivery routes using GPS and navigational equipment.

• Safely navigate high-traffic delivery areas, including Chicago, Indianapolis, and surrounding regions.

• Transport products between distribution partners, cold storage facilities, and other logistics locations.

• Pick up and deliver packaging materials and operational supplies as assigned.

• Communicate professionally with Seven Sons team members and third-party partners.

• Follow verbal and written instructions with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Take ownership of assigned routes, delivery accuracy, and strong relationships with logistics partners.

• Maintain cleanliness and basic care of assigned company vehicles.

• Remain flexible when route needs, delivery schedules, or business needs change.

• Valid Class A CDL.

• Current DOT medical card.

• Must be 21 years of age or older.

• Safe driving record.

• Previous commercial driving experience.

• Previous refrigerated/reefer truck experience preferred, but not required.

• Must pass DOT drug and alcohol screening.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with loading and unloading.

• Comfortable driving in urban, high-traffic areas.

• Ability to use ELD systems and paper logs as needed.

• Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset.

• Team-oriented, dependable, and willing to take responsibility for work performed.

• No major or serious driving violations within the last 5 years, including DUI/DWI, reckless or careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, or speeding 15+ mph over the posted speed limit.

• Must be able to pass a full Motor Vehicle Record review.

• Willing and able to operate safely in seasonal weather conditions.

Expected Hours:

This is a full-time position, typically averaging 36 to 40 driving hours per week, with total weekly hours varying based on route needs and related delivery duties. Most routes are currently scheduled Monday through Thursday, with occasional Fridays. Actual workdays, start and end times, and total weekly hours may vary based on route preparation, loading/unloading, customer needs, traffic, weather, delivery schedules, and third-party carrier appointments. While most routes are completed within normal daytime hours, drivers should be prepared for occasional schedule changes. A route may occasionally require a longer workday, an early start, a late return, or overnight travel.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $26.00 - $28.00 / Hour based on experience.
