Position: Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and dependable Accounting Manager to oversee our day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage financial records, accounts payable and receivable, cash management, and general accounting functions.

The Accounting Manager will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial information, supporting management with financial reporting, and ensuring accounting processes are completed accurately and on time.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Review and record sales, customer payments, invoices, and other financial transactions.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, cash accounts, and other financial records.
• Monitor customer accounts, balances, payments, and outstanding receivables.
• Review vendor invoices and ensure payments are processed accurately and timely.
• Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports and accounting summaries.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
• Monitor cash flow and assist management with financial planning and reporting.
• Review daily cash activity and ensure cash receipts are properly recorded and reconciled.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and inconsistencies.
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting files and records.
• Assist with payroll processing and related accounting functions as needed.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, employees, and management regarding accounting questions and issues.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ensure accounting procedures and internal controls are followed consistently.
• Work closely with management to provide accurate financial information for business decisions.
• Assist with tax preparation, audits, and other financial reporting requirements as needed.
• Supervise or provide guidance to accounting and administrative staff when applicable.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience required.
• Previous accounting management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze financial information and identify discrepancies.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with management and staff.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to take ownership of responsibilities.
• Dependable, professional, and committed to maintaining accurate financial records.
