We are seeking a dedicated and responsible driver to ensure the timely and safe delivery of meals to various sites and home delivery recipients. This role is crucial in supporting the nutrition program by adhering to established safety standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs.
• Ensure all food and nonfood items are loaded and delivered according to the Nutrition Program policies.
• Maintain food at the required temperature for all deliveries.
• Adhere to donation box policies for congregate and home-delivered meal programs.
• Report any changes in clients' health or living situations to the Social Services Coordinator.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and report any issues or damage promptly.
• Deliver reports and correspondence between sites and the Central Kitchen daily.
• Attend monthly driver meetings and participate in daily cleaning schedules.
• Follow safe driving practices and accident reporting procedures.
• Assist in food packaging as needed.
• Participate in menu meetings to suggest departmental improvements.
• Frequently lift up to 50 lbs and perform general labor tasks.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 1 year of driving experience
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Possess a valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record
• Customer service skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Bonus if bilingual in Spanish or Mandarin

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The role involves reporting to the hiring manager and requires adherence to established procedures and safe driving practices.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Francisco, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
