Travel RN – Pediatric Stepdown | Children's Hospital | Illinois

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Stepdown
Shift: 3x12 or 4x12 (Both Accepted)
Guaranteed Hours:

• 36 hours/week (3x12)
• 48 hours/week (4x12)

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN License required at the time of submission (Compact licenses are not accepted )
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric RN experience
• PICU experience preferred
• BLS
• PALS
• Experience with:
  • Chronic ventilators
  • Tracheostomy care
  • G-tube management
  • 1:4 patient ratios
  • Meditech EMR
• First-time travelers are not accepted

Unit Information

• 39-bed Pediatric Stepdown/Acute Care Unit
• Patient age range: 2 weeks to 18 years
• All pediatric specialties cared for within one unit
• 50–60% of patients require technology-dependent care
• Focus on chronic illness and transitional care
• No continuous drips or post-surgical patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3–4
• Meditech EMR
