Reporting directly to the Director of Tax, the Senior Tax Manager will lead day-to-day tax operations and oversee all aspects of corporate tax compliance and reporting. This includes managing quarterly and annual consolidated income tax provisions, tax return filings, audits, and business transactions, as well as supporting indirect tax compliance and cross-functional initiatives. This role is a strategic partner in driving process improvements and delivering value across the organization. Key Responsibilities Lead all aspects of sales and use tax, property tax, and indirect tax functions, including compliance, monthly financial reporting, reconciliations, and audits. Advise cross-functional teams—Sales, Billing, and Operations—on indirect tax implications for new products and go-to-market strategies, and resolve related issues. Oversee the integration and maintenance of Avalara tax engine with Zuora (billing) and NetSuite (ERP), including tax code assignments for products and services. Manage the preparation and timely filing of all federal, state, and local income tax returns in collaboration with external tax advisors. Prepare quarterly federal and state estimated tax payments. Support the annual R&D credit study, including analysis and documentation review. Prepare and/or review quarterly and annual tax provision calculations, including return-to-provision true-ups, uncertain tax positions, tax memos, disclosures, and SOX documentation. Contribute to tax planning efforts, including modeling, cash tax forecasting, effective tax rate analysis, and evaluating the tax impact of business transactions. Manage federal and state tax audits and correspondence, advocating for the company’s position and minimizing exposure. Qualifications Minimum of 7 years of experience in income tax compliance and financial reporting, ideally within a public accounting firm and/or corporate tax department. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite; experience with Alteryx, CCH, and Bloomberg tax research tools. Familiarity with NetSuite and Avalara is highly preferred. Required Education & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s in Taxation and/or CPA designation preferred.
