Job Description and Duties Effective July 1, 2025, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) is in effect. Full‑time employees in Bargaining Unit 17, related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees will have their base salary reduced by 3%. They will receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Part‑time employees are subject to the same condition on a prorated basis. Permanent intermittent employees are also subject to the same condition based on hours worked. This is a limited‑term position that may be extended or become permanent. Under the supervision of the Supervising Registered Nurse II/III, Correctional Facility (CF), the Registered Nurse (RN), CF organizes and provides necessary nursing care in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and program requirements. The RN, CF collaborates with the health care team to ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients and coordinates interdisciplinary communication to promote continuity of care. The RN, CF is responsible for addressing the ongoing health care needs of patients and for promoting the timely, efficient, and appropriate use of health care resources. Minimum Qualifications Possession of a current license as Registered Nurse in California. Applicants who do not meet this requirement will be admitted to the examination but must secure the required license before they are considered eligible for appointment.
