Commercial Relationship Manager

Summary Commercial Relationship Manager – This intermediate‑level commercial banking role focuses on business development, portfolio management, and complex credit functions. The manager drives shareholder value by generating quality earnings from interest income growth and supporting non‑interest income through collaboration with business partners. Key responsibilities include maintaining an average loan portfolio of $20‑$50million, managing 50+ bank relationships, and generating at least $1.1million in revenue for the bank. Responsibilities Achieves individual annual production and growth goals for loans, deposits, and fees to meet the bank’s financial targets. Initiates and develops new business through outside activities and maintains ongoing contact with clients to enhance their experience. Analyzes credit, determines client borrowing capacity, and assumes accountability for underwriting, structuring, and portfolio management. Tracks leads and activities using internal sourcing software and makes referrals to required partners and senior bankers. Builds and maintains a referral pipeline through identification of internal and external centers of influence. Promotes bank products and services, informs clients of financial solutions, and utilizes cross‑functional teams for customer requests. Researches and studies industry, commercial, and economic conditions related to existing and new business. Maintains compliance with all bank regulations, policies, procedures, and required annual training. Engages in community organizations to source development opportunities and demonstrates commitment to local communities. Qualifications Advanced credit analysis and commercial underwriting skills, including accounting and cash‑flow analysis. Strong knowledge of commercial lending policies, procedures, and documentation. Understanding of the bank’s risk‑rating system, credit products, and underwriting policies; ability to structure credit for small and medium‑sized businesses. Proficient written and verbal communication, strong presentation skills, and effective teamwork. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; PowerPoint experience is beneficial. Strong initiative, sound judgment, and ability to prioritize tasks under pressure. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents. Mathematical aptitude, including probability, statistics, percentages, ratios, and proportions. Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field required. 4–6 years experience in commercial lending, commercial credit underwriting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Demands & Working Environment Typical work includes frequent sitting, standing, and occasional noise; standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 8a.m. to 5p.m. Travel is as needed. Compensation & Benefits The pay range for this position is $99,600 to $164,400 annually in Seattle, WA, based on non‑discriminatory factors such as experience and education.
