Research Associate I – Automation/Flow Cytometry (Cell Therapy)
Foster City, CA | $35/hr | 1-Year Contract
On behalf of our client
ATR International is looking to find a Research Associate I to join our clients growing Automation/Flow Cytometry team, supporting the development of next-generation cell therapies.
What You'll Do:
- Develop, implement, and optimize automation assays for high-throughput cell-based assays
- Troubleshoot automation systems (Bravo, Assist Plus, Mantis liquid handlers) and flow cytometry instrumentation
- Perform daily QC, maintenance, and troubleshooting of flow cytometry instruments
- Conduct aseptic cell culture techniques for adherent and suspension cell lines
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver key project milestones
- Manage lab and cell line inventory, equipment, and relevant software (Benchling, MS Office)
- Present findings in team meetings
What You Bring:
- B.S. with 6 months–1 year of experience, or M.S. with 0 years of experience, in a biology-related field (molecular biology, immunology, or cell biology) — required
- Basic understanding of automated liquid handling systems (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of flow cytometry principles and applications (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, suspension and adherent (preferred)
- Self-motivated, organized, strong team collaborator with an ownership mindset
