**Certifications Required (must be willing to obtain if offered):** - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - BLS (Basic Life Support) - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) - NRP* (Neonatal Resuscitation Program, if applicable) **Experience Required:** - Minimum of 2 years in ER of equivalent size (40+ bed ER, 200+ visits/day) - Level II or III trauma experience - Recent ER Travel experience (in the past 6-8 months preferred) **Skills Required:** - Management of a variety of emergency situations such as abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthma, blood product administration, burns, and care of ventilated patients. - Experience with central line care/management, chest tube insertion/management, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), drug overdose, and emergency medications. - Proficient in BiPAP/CPAP management, intubation, IV vasopressors, and the management of dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. - Ability to handle mental/behavioral health conditions, violence management, and special cases such as near drowning and spinal cord injury. - Competence in obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, and triage. - Knowledge in starting and maintaining IVs, splint management/application, and urinary tract infection. **Preferred Experience:** - Charting System: Cerner - Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics **Additional Requirements:** - Flu Vaccine: Required (with exemptions/declinations allowed) - On-site drug screen compliance covering specific substances.
