For more than 20 years, Terrascapes has built a reputation for delivering high-quality commercial landscape maintenance, landscape enhancements, irrigation services, and professional snow and ice management throughout Central Montana. As our Director of Operations, you’ll become one of the key leaders of the company, working directly with ownership to build outstanding teams, improve operations, develop future leaders, and ensure every customer receives exceptional service. What You’ll Lead You’ll oversee nearly every aspect of our production operations, including: Commercial landscape maintenance Landscape enhancement and installation projects Irrigation service operations Snow and ice management Crew scheduling and workforce planning Hiring, onboarding, and employee development Quality control and jobsite inspections Equipment utilization and production efficiency Safety and operational compliance Continuous improvement of systems and processes You’ll work closely with ownership to establish priorities, build our team, and help guide the future direction of Terrascapes. People trust your judgment because you stay calm, organized, and focused when others become overwhelmed. You understand that quality doesn’t happen by accident—it comes from hiring the right people, setting clear expectations, providing consistent training, and holding everyone accountable. You enjoy being in the field, talking with employees, visiting jobsites, and helping crews succeed just as much as you enjoy planning, organizing, and improving operations behind the scenes. Most importantly, you genuinely care about building something you’re proud of. Qualifications Ideal candidates will have experience in several of the following areas: Leadership experience managing multiple crews or departments Commercial landscape maintenance Landscape construction or enhancement projects Irrigation operations Snow and ice management Hiring, training, and developing employees Scheduling crews, equipment, and production resources Quality assurance and customer satisfaction Budget awareness and operational efficiency Strong communication and organizational skills Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new software Valid driver’s license Equivalent leadership experience in closely related industries such as construction, utilities, public works, excavation, or facility services will also be considered.
