Qualifications Maryland Education/ Licensure Requirements: All counseling candidates must have, at minimum, an Alcohol and Drug Trainee certification (ADT) through the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists. Preferred credentials: CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LGADC, LGPC, LCPC, LCADC or LICSW/LCSW. Acceptable degrees include Social Work, Psychology, Addiction, Counseling, Human Services, Criminal Justice, and more. Compensation based on current level of certification/licensure and years of experience. Compensation Range Compensation Range: $55,000 - $72,000 based upon education, credentials & experience. Work Schedule Flexible start and end times with either an 8am‑4pm or 9am‑5pm schedule Monday through Friday. Counselors may be asked to adjust one day per week for evening sessions (possibly an 11am‑7pm or 12pm‑8pm shift). Some flexibility for weekends and holidays. Your Responsibilities In This Role May Include Be responsible for a caseload of clients, as identified by program requirements and in accordance with state regulations. Complete required evaluations and assessments, including screening, intake, clinical assessments, ASAM and biopsychosocial histories. Develop individual treatment plans upon client's admission. Document all clinical services and interventions performed within the client's electronic health record and complete monthly treatment reports. Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure timely completion of tasks—within 24 hours of service delivery, no later than 72 hours. Conduct individual and group sessions based on client's treatment plan goals and level of care. Participate in funding source reviews and make recommendations for treatment and lengths of stay. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Coordinate with agency and community resources to ensure a thorough treatment plan. Assist clients with developing a discharge/continuing care plan and connecting to resources needed to reach personal goals during treatment and in advance of discharge. Follow up with clients after discharge based on regulatory guidelines until they have been established with other case management/social services.
