Front Desk Coordinator

Pyramid Healthcare, a nationally recognized leader in behavioral health and addiction treatment, is seeking a dedicated Front Desk Coordinator to join our Altoona Outpatient team .

Our outpatient center provides evidence-based, client-focused therapy that supports individuals on their path to long-term recovery. With a strong clinical team and mission-driven leadership, we offer a collaborative environment where team members can grow professionally while making a meaningful impact in the community.

Schedule
  • Monday-Thursday: 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:30am-2:30pm
Position Overview

As a Front Desk Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting daily operations of our outpatient clinic. This position serves as the first point of contact for clients and ensures a welcoming, organized, and efficient front office environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage front office operations for the facility
  • Greet and assist clients entering the treatment center
  • Oversee appointment scheduling and coordination
  • Maintain, file, and transfer medical records
  • Perform clerical and administrative tasks (phones, mailing, filing, copying, faxing, typing)
  • Order and maintain office and client supplies
  • Assist with intake processes and billing documentation
  • Manage office equipment and coordinate with vendors
  • Handle petty cash
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and professional office environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Administrative or front office experience preferred
  • Experience in behavioral healthcare, mental health services, or addiction treatment is a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

To be successful in this role, candidates should demonstrate:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of federal and state compliance standards in behavioral healthcare
  • Ability to learn new systems, including electronic medical records (EMR) software
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to respond appropriately in high-risk or crisis situations
