The selected intern will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager’s in office schedule. The intern will join a dynamic team that lives at the center of social media, community management, influencer marketing, and livestream production for video games. We touch every corner of the gaming social ecosystem, from shaping community conversations to supporting creator campaigns and helping bring livestream moments to life. Because our work spans so many disciplines, the intern will have the chance to get hands‑on experience with every element of modern social media strategy and execution. It’s an ideal environment for someone excited about games, digital culture, and learning how all the moving parts come together behind the scenes. Your Role Accountabilities Support daily social media operations across TikTok, X, Threads, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, Discord, and Facebook, including drafting copy, identifying engagement opportunities, and monitoring community conversations. Assist with weekly reporting using Sprout Social and Meltwater, and deliver a standing weekly industry trends update during team meetings. Participate in campaign brainstorms and provide feedback on upcoming, unannounced game titles while helping shape social and community strategies. Help manage influencer and social media inbox communications, including creator outreach, coordination, and follow‑up. Contribute to livestream production by learning the fundamentals of planning, setup, and real‑time support for gaming streams, as well as behind the scenes content capture. Attend partner and agency meetings, gaining exposure to cross‑functional collaboration and the full lifecycle of social and influencer campaigns. Qualifications & Experience Strong familiarity with major social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, Discord, Facebook) and current digital trends. Solid writing skills with an ability to craft clear, engaging, and on‑brand social copy. Basic understanding of social media analytics and comfort learning tools like Sprout Social and Meltwater. Strong organizational habits, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑moving environment. Curiosity about gaming culture, online communities, and how players engage with brands. Willingness to learn livestream production fundamentals and support real‑time content moments. Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required) Must be a rising Junior or Senior (18 years or older) Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA). A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended. Warner Bros. Experience with video editing or clipping tools (Premiere, CapCut, DaVinci, etc.). Familiarity with Discord moderation or community management best practices. Comfort with basic graphic design tools (Photoshop, Canva, Figma). Prior experience working with creators, influencers, or social media inbox management. Awareness of industry trends in gaming, esports, and digital entertainment. What To Know Before Applying The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks. Program date options: Option 2: June 8th – August 21st Option 1: June 1st – August 14th Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided. Interviewing will take place from mid-February through early-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position.
