Salary Range: $83,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Norton Shores that are seeking skilled Supplier Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier quality improvement plans.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define supplier quality requirements for new product development.
• Monitor and report on key supplier quality performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance product quality and reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in quality engineering, supplier quality, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, 8D).
• Experience with supplier auditing and qualification processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (GD&T).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced quality planning (AQP) tools like APQP, PPAP, and FMEA.
• Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 or IATF 16949.
• Strong data analysis skills using statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for process improvement.
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
