HVAC/Refrigeration TechnicianUnder general supervision, performs skilled or semi-skilled work in the installation, repair, and maintenance of district facilities to provide for the maximum health, safety, comfort, and benefit of students and staff.Education and Experience Requirements:High School diploma or equivalentMinimum of two (2) years related experienceValid New Mexico Driver's LicenseNM CID Journeyman Refrigeration licensureEPA Universal Refrigerant licensureKnowledge of Uniform Mechanical CodeKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:Ability to perform heavy manual laborAbility to perform HVAC and refrigeration system installations and all aspects of HVAC service workAbility to perform or assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems, electrical systems, structural systems, roofing, carpentry, lawn and grounds maintenance, doors and hardware, flooring, siding, foundations, fixtures, and equipmentAbility to use, repair, and maintain tools and equipmentAbility to understand and follow oral and written instructionsAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writingAbility to communicate and interact effectively and appropriately with supervisors, students, and staffAbility to perform essential job functions and job task requirementsPosition Available: July 20, 2026Salary: Twelve months (234 days) per contract year and appropriate placement on the Assistant Salary Schedule.
