Respiratory Therapist

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care to adult patients with respiratory, cardiac, orthopedic conditions, and more. The successful candidate must be prepared to float to various departments, including ICU, ED, floors, and, if applicable, NICU.
Shift Information
12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM
Every other weekend rotation required
Mandatory call and holiday coverage
No holiday time off can be accommodated
Patient Population
The patient population will primarily include adults with conditions related to:
- Respiratory care
- Cardiac issues
- Orthopedic needs
Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory therapies and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor vital signs and patient responses to therapy
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Float to various departments as required by staffing needs while maintaining clinical competence
- Participate in mandatory overtime as needed to ensure adequate staffing coverage
Qualifications
- Active RRT certification through NBRC or an equivalent certifying body
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- NRP certification is highly desired
- Clinical experience in multiple areas including ER, ICU, Medical Surgical, TELE, DOC, and PSYCH
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records is required
- Travel experience is an asset
