Also corrects settings, speeds, and feeds on welders including proper setup of product to be welded.****Duties & Responsibilities Information:***** Assembles and welds shells, rings, and feet for generators* Places stator core on mandrel, asssembles shell and rings* Guages height and then tacks weld together* Assembles and welds feet to frame and core assembly* Corrects settings on welders including speeds and feeds as well as proper setup of product to be welded* Inspects quality of material being welded to prevent rework* Includes MIG welding* Protects other employees from flash of arc which could cause damage to eyes* Wears welding hood, gloves, and other protection as dictated* Exercises good housekeeping in work area* Observes good safety practices in performance of job* Performs daily/weekly TPM tasks and completes checksheets* Performs other job duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader****Necessary Skills:***** Must be able to read complicated drawings, decimal dimensions on blueprints, utilize precise measuring devices and use to perform own setups**Additional Job Details**High School Diploma / GED Required**Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action at Nidec** Nidec is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
