Job Title Live Pork Veterinarian Reporting to Multiplication Regional Director Job Status Salaried Position Hybrid Remote Service Area Arkansas and Missouri Location Applicant should reside in Southern or Central MO region or be willing to relocate. Job Summary JBS Live Pork is looking for a talented Live Pork Veterinarian to be a member of the multiplication region leadership team and responsible for the health of 26,000 sows and their offspring that produce replacements for commercial regions. The veterinarian will interpret and respond to production‑limiting diseases, develop and execute effective strategies, and support the region’s success while collaborating with the JBS vet team. Essential Job Functions Investigate, assess, formulate, and present solutions to address health issues Provide visit summaries and recommendations to the production team Conduct routine health checks Implement treatment and vaccination strategies Ensure regulatory compliance Perform diagnostic testing and interpret results Build and maintain effective relationships with consulting veterinarians and industry partners Monitor biosecurity compliance Maintain VCPR with production locations Schedule and conduct health‑related technical training (postmortem labs, biosecurity training, vaccination training) Stay current on the latest industry developments, research, and best practices Participate on internal teams to provide guidance on industry requirements Perform all other duties as assigned Required Qualifications DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) from an accredited school Eligible for veterinary licensure and USDA accreditation in Missouri and Arkansas Competent in management of swine diseases and knowledge of farrow‑to‑finish management Able to work well in group settings and independently Excellent communication skills Expected to perform on‑farm activities multiple days per week Working Conditions / Environment Work in both climate‑controlled office and environmentally controlled confined livestock facilities May encounter dust, odors, and other hazardous conditions during farm visits Outside temperatures can exceed 100°F in summer and fall below 0°F in winter Exposure to various elements inherent to agriculture production Frequent standing, walking, sitting, hand use, reaching; occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, speaking, tasting, smelling Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lb., occasionally up to 50 lb.
