General Production - 1st Shift

Overview Welch Packaging is hiring for General Production on 1st Shift. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. This is an hourly, full-time position. Base pay range: $17.00/hr - $18.00/hr. The range is provided by Welch Packaging; your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Welch Packaging is headquartered in Elkhart, IN. Key Responsibilities Follows all safety procedures associated with machine center Prepares bottom and top sheets for units and prints load tags Responsible for unitization per customer specification Understands and participates in quality checks as required Works at a pace set by the machine operator to achieve conformance to production schedule Reads and follows shop order instructions Troubleshoots problems throughout production run Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures Maintains high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping in the work area Qualifications / Requirements Previous experience in a manufacturing / production environment is preferred Proven ability to work SAFELY adhering to all safety processes and policies Ability to work a flexible schedule on occasion to support operational and business needs Ability to work either individually or in a collaborative, team-oriented environment For safety and operational efficiency, candidates must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (understanding safety instructions, operating procedures, and workplace signage) Additional Details Shift differential opportunities Seniority level: Entry level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Management and Manufacturing Industries: Packaging & Containers Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Welch Packaging.
