Research Associate Gene Engineering and Delivery My client is a leading biopharmaceutical organization focused on next generation cell therapy research. They are seeking a dedicated scientist to join their research center in Seattle to help advance innovative cancer immunotherapies through molecular design and gene delivery breakthroughs. In this role you will focus on the creation and characterization of vector constructs essential for the development of CAR T cell therapies. This position is ideal for a researcher who excels in molecular biology and cell culture within a collaborative and fast moving laboratory setting. Primary Responsibilities Design and clone complex DNA constructs to support therapeutic development. Maintain mammalian cell lines for viral vector production and gene delivery experiments. Perform molecular characterization and cellular assays to assess vector performance. Execute protocols for viral vector production and delivery. Partner with cross functional teams to investigate the feasibility of new gene delivery techniques. Analyze experimental data and communicate findings to the broader research group. Maintain detailed and accurate electronic records of all laboratory activities. Required Skills and Experience A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in a relevant scientific field. At least two years of professional experience in a laboratory research environment is preferred. Technical proficiency in cloning, PCR, RT PCR, and DNA or mRNA preparation. Hands on experience with tissue culture including transfection and T cell transduction. Proven ability to manage time effectively and solve technical problems with high attention to detail. Strong communication skills for presenting data and writing reports. Ability to conduct experiments independently under general supervision. Compensation and Environment The anticipated salary range for this role is between 76,000 and 92,000 dollars per year based on experience.
