Specialist, Software Engineer (ETL - Informatica & Oracle PL/SQL)

Specialist, Software Engineer (ETL – Informatica & Oracle PL/SQL) Nationwide’s Information Technology team invites you to work as a lead ETL developer on the SAP Commissions platform (NFCS). The role is hybrid, coming into the Columbus, Ohio office 2 days per week on Mondays & Tuesdays. You will design, develop, test, debug, document and deploy high‑quality ELT solutions, manage source code in GIT, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with SAP SaaS solutions, workflow processing, and reporting tools is a plus. Key Responsibilities: Analyze, develop, test, debug, document and deploy software according to standards in an agile environment. Apply secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to protect data and technology solutions from threats and vulnerabilities. Use DevSecOps practices, tooling, and techniques. Drive continuous improvement and learning through ongoing training, practice, and innovation. Manage medium to large project priorities, deadlines and deliverables proactively. Typical Skills & Experiences: Education: Completion of undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or related degree (technology certificates may be substituted). Experience: Four or more years of analysis and technology experience. Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript; strong knowledge of software development lifecycle; proven ability to solve complex business and development problems; ability to thrive in a team environment; insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.
