Home Care Aide/Caregiver

As a Caregiver, you are the face of our organization and play a critical role in helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes. Responsibilities may include:

• Assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene
• Assistance with eating and daily living activities
• Ambulation, mobility assistance, and walking support
• Assisting clients to and from bed
• Monitoring and supporting clients living with Alzheimer's Disease or Dementia
• Light housekeeping
• Laundry and linen changes
• Meal planning and meal preparation
• Household organization and management
• Apparel selection and dressing assistance
• Meaningful conversation and companionship
• Emotional support and encouragement
• Promoting engagement, independence, and quality of life
• Transportation using the client's vehicle
• Running errands and accompanying clients to appointments
• Medication reminders in accordance with company policies
• Preparing sleeping areas
• Assisting clients during the night as needed
• Reporting frequent overnight care needs to the office

Document services and activities within company software systems as required. Maintain accurate timekeeping and service documentation. Submit all required records by established deadlines. Immediately report significant client changes or concerns to the office. Follow all company policies, procedures, training requirements, and care plans.

Treats every client with dignity, compassion, and respect. Communicates effectively and professionally. Is dependable, punctual, and trustworthy. Demonstrates patience, empathy, and professionalism. Adapts well to changing client needs and situations. Maintains strong personal hygiene and professional appearance. Can work independently without constant supervision. Has reliable transportation and can travel to client homes. Is able to work weekends and maintain schedule flexibility.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Valid driver's license with no serious driving violations
• Reliable transportation available during assignments
• Ability to read, write, and speak English at an average adult level
• Ability to successfully complete required training and skills assessments
• Ability to complete all required health screenings
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening prior to employment
• Proof of First Aid and CPR certification within 3 months of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

• One or more years of caregiving, home care, healthcare, or related experience
• CNA certification, nursing education, healthcare coursework, or similar experience preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

• Safely assist clients with mobility and transfers
• Assist clients in and out of vehicles
• Lift and transport mobility equipment such as walkers and wheelchairs weighing up to 50 pounds
• Frequently bend, reach, walk, stand, and perform light housekeeping tasks
• Sit, drive, and travel between client locations
• Climb stairs as required by client homes
• Maintain adequate vision with or without corrective lenses
