Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Fryer & Grill Cook to join our kitchen team. This position is responsible for preparing fried and grilled menu items such as tempura, appetizers, and grill work during busy services, maintaining food quality and consistency, ensuring a clean and organized workstation, and supporting overall kitchen operations in a fast-paced Chinese restaurant environment.

The ideal candidate is team-oriented, works efficiently under pressure, and takes pride in delivering high-quality food every shift.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fried and grilled menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards.
• Operate fryers, flat tops, grills, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain proper cooking temperatures, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
• Prepare ingredients and complete daily prep tasks as assigned.
• Ensure orders are prepared accurately and in a timely manner during service.
• Monitor product quality and communicate shortages or issues to kitchen management.
• Restock and organize station supplies throughout the shift.
• Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures and proper food storage guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times.
• Assist with kitchen cleaning, dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal as needed.
• Follow all health, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or restaurant experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
