Your expertise will enable physicians to accurately diagnose and treat various medical conditions through high-quality nuclear imaging studies. Minimum Qualifications Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program. Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or equivalent credential. Valid state licensure or certification as required by the state of practice. Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety and handling of radioactive materials. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and nuclear medicine imaging techniques. Preferred Qualifications Experience working as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a clinical or hospital setting. Certification in PET imaging or other advanced nuclear medicine modalities. Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and digital imaging software. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in various healthcare environments. Responsibilities Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients following established protocols and safety guidelines. Operate gamma cameras, PET scanners, and other nuclear medicine imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images. Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after radiopharmaceutical administration and provide appropriate care. Maintain accurate records of procedures, dosages, and patient information in compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal imaging quality and diagnostic accuracy. Perform routine quality control and maintenance of nuclear medicine equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Adhere to radiation safety standards to protect patients, staff, and self from unnecessary exposure. Educate patients about the procedures, addressing any concerns and ensuring informed consent.
