The unit provides care to pediatric cardiac, solid organ transplant, infectious disease, CF, pulmonary, general medical/surgical, ENT, trauma, and orthopedic patients and families, with 24 beds for patients ranging from infants to young adults. Critical care nursing is experienced in this intermediate care unit (IMC) with patients who have complex, multi-system health issues. Schedule This position will be working 60 hours every two weeks on the Night shift, 12-hour shifts, every third weekend. Read more about this opportunity here: Responsibilities The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate, in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. Provides complex care to pediatric patient/families Performs advanced monitoring using current technology Manages sophisticated medication and infusion therapies Cares for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures/interventions on the unit Demonstrates the ability to safely and accurately operate unit equipment Bed capacity: 24 Nurse to patient ratio: 1:2 to 1:4 Required Qualifications MN Registered Nurse (RN) License Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross) 1+ years of RN experience Will consider new grads with internship/capstone in Pediatrics Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or BAN Cardiac Pediatric experience preferred 1-3 years of experience Benefits Fairview offers a generous benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, PTO/vacation and Safe and Sick Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement and more.
