This role is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met, while coaching and supervising technicians, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. The Supervisor also supports training, workflow management, equipment maintenance, inventory control, and documentation within a regulated manufacturing environment, driving continuous improvement and efficient production performance./ppPosition Overview/ppThe Supervisor is responsible for supporting the daily execution and oversight of SMA Wire production activities. This is a hands-on leadership role. The Supervisor is expected to actively support production operations by working on the line as needed, in addition to their leadership responsibilities. This role ensures that team members are aligned with production goals, trained in procedures, and operate in compliance with safety and quality standards. The Supervisor acts as a liaison between frontline staff and management, helping to drive performance, resolve issues, and foster a culture of continuous improvement./ppThis is a weekday shift position. Working hours are Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 6:30 pm. This position is eligible for additional shift differential pay./ppResponsibilities/pulliLead and support production daily activities of SMA Wire Technicians/liliEnsure team adherence to standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards./liliProvide on-the-floor guidance, coaching, feedback, and troubleshooting support to team members./liliProvide timely performance feedback to personnel and are responsible for delivering performance appraisals./liliPromote a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with cGMP and FDA regulations./liliMonitor workflow and production output to ensure alignment with daily and weekly build plans and targets./liliOnboard and train new employees to operate automated wire drawing equipment including setup, repair, fault clearing, mechanical inspection and autonomous maintenance/liliCoordinate with the Production Manager and other cross functional teams as needed to escalate equipment issues, material shortages, quality concerns, or employee relations concerns./liliSupport inventory control processes including cycle counts, material transactions, and reconciliation./liliSupport timely Work Order creation, posting, and release using SAP./liliSupport PM activities, ticket closure, and other preventative maintenance activities as needed./liliEnsure proper documentation of production data, part counts, and material movements using Arena, SAP and File maker./liliParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and team-based problem-solving activities./liliPerform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager./li/ulpRequired Skills and Competencies/pulliGood understanding of English with the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions./liliStrong communication and interpersonal skills./liliAbility to lead by example and foster team collaboration./liliMechanical Aptitude - Knowledge of and experience with automated machines and tools, including design, uses, repair, and maintenance./liliProficiency in Microsoft Office, QMS, and ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft 365, Arena, and SAP)./liliDetail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities./liliComfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment./li/ulpEducation and Experience/pulliHigh School Diploma or GED required./lili2+ years in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in medical device or electronics assembly./li/ulpPreferred Education and Experience/pulliAssociate Degree in Production Management/liliTwo years in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in medical device or electronics assembly./li/ulpPhysical Requirements/pulliAbility to lift up to 30 lbs./liliFrequently standing, walking, reaching above shoulders and below waist./liliAbility to operate pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment./li/ulpAdditional Information/pulliThe position is working on-site at our Acton, MA location./li/ulpCompensation Benefits:/ppFor U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $67,700.00 - $101,525.00. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
