Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – PRNVisalia Post AcutePay Range: $60.00–$65.00 per hour, based on experienceVisalia Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. The SLP will evaluate and treat residents with communication, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders while helping them achieve their highest possible level of independence and quality of life.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate residents’ speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing abilitiesDevelop and implement individualized treatment plansProvide therapy for communication, cognitive, and swallowing disordersComplete and document clinical swallowing evaluationsRecommend appropriate diet textures, liquid consistencies, and safety precautionsMonitor residents’ progress and modify treatment plans as neededMaintain accurate and timely evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summariesEducate residents, families, caregivers, and staff on communication and swallowing strategiesCollaborate with nursing, dietary, therapy, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team membersParticipate in care planning and discharge planning as neededFollow all facility policies and applicable state and federal regulationsQualificationsMaster’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited programCurrent California Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standingCertificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA preferredCurrent CPR/BLS certificationPrevious skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferredExperience evaluating and treating swallowing disorders preferredStrong communication, clinical, and documentation skillsCompassionate, dependable, and committed to resident-centered careWhy Join Visalia Post Acute?Competitive PRN payFlexible schedulingSupportive leadership and an excellent rehabilitation teamPositive and collaborative work environmentTraining and professional growth opportunitiesRewarding opportunity to improve residents’ quality of lifeJob Type: PRNPay: $60.00–$65.00 per hour, based on experienceVisalia Post Acute is an Equal Opportunity Employer.We are an equal opportunity employer.
