They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.Job RequirementsDirectly Leads and oversees the activities of onsite Buyers and Shipping/Receiving/Inventory Supervisor.Collaborates with several internal departments to understand recovery plans, inventory options, alternative part options, distribution stock and all other avenues to avoid supply chain disruption.Leads daily tier/escalation meetings related to procurement, shipping/receiving and inventory to avoid production line and/or customer impact.Properly escalates concerns to TE leadership to identify solutionsTracks past due order recovery and identify areas where the plan is off trackReviews and analyzes status of requisitions, exception reports etc. comparing customer demand vs. confirmed capacity vs. delivery and takes appropriate actions as needed.Works to establish long-term recovery actions for all critical parts shortagesIdentifies and leads continuous improvement projects to reduce cost and improve communication and efficiencies.What your background should look likeEDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIESBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.Fluent in English (written and oral).
