Medical Scribe OpportunityWe are a fast-paced, growing heart and vascular clinic seeking a Medical Scribe. This position will involve providing detailed documentation services to physicians and healthcare teams in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. They should also have a strong knowledge of medical terminology and terminology associated with medical record-keeping. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and be part of a team that is passionate about providing quality care to our patients.Job ResponsibilitiesListen to and document patient encounters in the patient's electronic medical recordAccurately document patient information such as history, physical examinations, medications, treatments, and other notesEnter patient orders into the electronic medical recordAccurately transcribe physician dictationObtain and document patient signatures on consent formsAssist physicians with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments or ordering testsMaintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulationsAssist physicians and other healthcare team members in providing efficient, high-quality patient careCross-check medical records for accuracy and completenessEnsure that all patient information is up-to-date, accurate, and secureAssist with patient registration and check-in as neededManage and organize medical records in an efficient mannerFollow established protocols and procedures to ensure patient safety and satisfactionJob RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in a medical office or medical fieldKnowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and disease processesAbility to accurately document patient information in electronic medical record systemsProficient in the use of computers and related softwareExcellent organizational, communication, and customer service skillsAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to maintain confidentiality of patient informationAbility to follow instructions and protocols accuratelyAbility to work Monday- Friday 8-430pm – sometimes it may be a little later for rural travel.Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environmentMust be able to type a minimum of 40wpmEMR experienceWork EnvironmentThis position is a clinical position and will report to the office Monday- Friday from 6:30 am – 5:00 PM.Physical RequirementsThis position requires full range of body motion.
