Department: Work Control Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: This Electronics Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of campus fire alarm systems, ensuring all equipment operates in compliance with applicable safety codes and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include installing cabling for fire alarm systems, as well as supporting the installation of related electronic security systems such as card access and CCTV. The role involves diagnosing and resolving issues affecting fire alarm, security, and surveillance systems. Additionally, this position assists with maintaining the accuracy of the campus access control database and responds to after-hours emergencies and critical system issues as needed. This position is weather essential. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
