Workday Functional lead

Key Responsibilities
- Lead Workday Core HCM and Compensation workstreams across implementation, enhancement, and optimization projects.
- Act as the primary functional SME for Core HCM and Compensation modules.
- Facilitate workshops, gather business requirements, and translate them into Workday solutions.
- Advise business stakeholders on Workday best practices and process improvements.
- Manage project timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, and IT teams.
- Drive configuration reviews, testing activities, UAT support, and production deployments.
- Provide leadership during design discussions and solution reviews.
- Prepare status reports and communicate project progress to executive stakeholders.
- Support change management, training, and adoption activities.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of Workday experience with strong functional expertise.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Workday Core HCM.
- 3+ years of experience in Workday Compensation.
- Proven experience leading Workday projects or workstreams.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience conducting requirement workshops and solution design sessions.
- Experience supporting UAT, defect triage, and deployment activities.
- Strong understanding of HR business processes and Workday best practices.
