Registered Professional Land Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Conduct boundary, topographic, and construction layout surveys for engineering projects.
• Perform both field and office surveying tasks, including collecting, verifying, and documenting survey data.
• Operate total stations and other surveying equipment to ensure accurate field measurements.
• Prepare survey drawings, maps, reports, and other project documentation.
• Interpret plans, legal descriptions, survey records, and engineering documents.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and project teams to support project execution and compliance.
• Manage the surveying department, including planning, oversight, and quality control of surveying activities.
• Travel to project sites as needed and perform field work in varying outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) license in Texas or the ability to obtain licensure within an established timeframe.
• Strong experience with boundary, topographic, and construction surveying.
• Proficiency with total stations, surveying instruments, and field data collection tools.
• Experience using survey and CAD software; familiarity with GIS tools is a plus.
• Drone surveying experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and safety.
• Valid driver's license.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
