Loan Center Representative

Review loan applications for creditworthiness and make lending decisions under established policies, procedures, and guidelines Perform credit analysis and prepare documentation supporting credit decisions Handle incoming calls and requests through text messages, emails, and outbound calls Review collateral values for secured loans Interview members to complete loan applications and identify cross-sell opportunities Gather and attach supporting documents, including income verification, for loan closing Enter and verify loan information in the Core System lending platform and transmit applications to the Lending Department Promote and cross-sell credit union products and services Perform quality control checks on loan applications and lending documents Review lending packets for completeness, accuracy, legal compliance, rate programs, procedures, and credit stipulations Prepare auto-refinancing title work and supporting documents Review and confirm title documents on the Texdot site Comply with BSA regulations and complete assigned BSA/OFAC/CIP training Maintain the online loan application site and online membership opening and funding site Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Two to three years of experience in a related field Sales experience is required Lending/underwriting experience is a plus Call center experience is a plus High school diploma or equivalent Detailed knowledge of federal and state lending regulations Thorough knowledge of risk-based lending practices General knowledge of lending policies and call center policies and etiquette Knowledge of financial-institution legislation, including Truth in Savings, Truth in Lending, Bank Secrecy Act, and anti-discrimination legislation Knowledge of consumer and residential lending practices Excellent interviewing, communication, and public relations skills Professional appearance and attitude Strong organizational skills Personal computer skills with Windows-based software applications Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to interpret information and arrive at solutions Ability to work independently, accomplish goals, and meet deadlines Sound decision-making and judgment abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality of member information Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in credit analysis, lending regulations, and risk-based lending practices while effectively managing loan applications and member interactions.
