Surgical First Assistant (RNFA) - Surgery Department Location Thousand Oaks, CA Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Monday-Thursday 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM or Monday-Friday 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM Job Description We are seeking a skilled Surgical First Assistant (RNFA) to join our dynamic Surgery Department. This role requires a nurse with first assist experience utilizing the DaVinci Robot across various surgical specialties, including Ortho Spine, Gynecology, Neurology, and General Surgery. Responsibilities Assist in surgeries, demonstrating expertise in DaVinci robotic techniques. Work collaboratively with surgical teams to ensure the highest quality of patient care. Maintain excellent communication with surgeons and other healthcare professionals. Adapt to varying surgical situations as they arise during procedures. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of current surgical experience. First Assist experience with DaVinci Robot highly required. RN license and RNFA certification are mandatory. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Experience with Spine and Neurosurgery instrumentation preferred.
