Radiology - Echo / Cardiac Sonographer

Inpatient Echocardiography Sonographer

Join a busy inpatient echocardiography lab at a tertiary care hospital with a Level I trauma center. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

Rotating days, including weekends, with overnight call shifts from 5:00 PM to 6:30 AM, requiring 2-3 nights per month.

Responsibilities

• Perform 7-8 echocardiograms per day.
• Ensure the quality of echocardiograms meets accreditation standards, including TTEs, stress echocardiograms, and TEEs.
• Utilize 3D echo and strain imaging for comprehensive cardiac assessments.
• Adhere to lab standards and protocols to maintain consistency and diagnostic accuracy.
• Optimize image quality through meticulous scanning techniques and effective use of ultrasound contrast agents.
• Manage high-volume workflows in a critical care environment while maintaining superior diagnostic quality.
• Provide exceptional patient care and communication throughout procedures.
• Participate in teamwork and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 5 years of echocardiography experience.
• At least 2+ years of acute inpatient echocardiography experience in a Trauma Level 1 facility.
• Expertise in cardiac anatomy and pathology for accurate imaging and assessments.
• Adherence to ASE and IAC standards to ensure quality benchmarks are met.
