Role Overview This Registered Nurse (RN) provides care and treatment to dialysis patients, including home dialysis training and self-care education. The role involves performing dialysis procedures, overseeing staff, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, documenting patient care, and collaborating with healthcare team members and families. The nurse acts as a patient advocate and develops educational plans to support patient understanding and management of dialysis treatments. Key Responsibilities Perform and maintain proficiency in dialysis procedures. Delegate and oversee department staff activities. Ensure compliance with water room equipment and safety standards. Document patient care accurately and in accordance with policies. Coordinate patient care with medical professionals and support staff. Educate patients and families on dialysis processes and self-care. Qualifications & Skills Active RN license in the practice state. Strong communication skills, visual acuity, and the ability to work effectively with a team. Preferred certifications include Certified Hemodialysis Nurse (CHN), Certified Peritoneal Dialysis Nurse (CPDN), or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN).
