Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 - 26 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 Year License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Minimum of 1 year of EPIC experience - Previous Charge Experience - Travel Experience Required - No first-time travelers Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in MS/Tele. The shift schedule is night shifts, three times a week. The nursing staff will focus on adult and geriatric patient care. The unit primarily serves patients with stroke, TIA, seizure, syncope, pneumonia, chest pain, dialysis needs, and other acute medical conditions. Patient-to-nurse staffing ratios are 1:6 on nights. The nurse will be required to float to other units based on need and skill set. A strong emphasis is placed on patient experience and care. Special procedures performed on the unit include peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation. Basic skills required include managing blood products, central line blood draws, and caring for various medical devices. ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory. A successful candidate will demonstrate competencies in accessing and managing ports, non-invasive airway management, and telemetry monitoring. All staff members must adhere to isolation precautions and manage cardiac drips without titration. Interdisciplinary support is available from various specialized teams, including IV therapy, physical therapy, and respiratory services. The role requires effective communication with both patients and the healthcare team. Candidates are expected to comply with all state regulations and facility policies.
