Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)CRNAs at Forsyth Medical Center support 17 main ORs with a variety of service lines to include: General, Gynecology, Urology, Da Vinci Robotic, Ortho, Neuro, Spines, Vascular, Hearts and Lungs. Forsyth Medical Center also covers more than 12 NORA Sites outside of the main OR, which include ERCP, Bronchoscopy, Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, MRI, CT, EP lab and Cardiac Noninvasive Lab.This role is ideal for experienced CRNAs looking to work at the top of their profession within a high-performing, collaborative team.A dynamic opportunity with exposure to a wide range of surgical specialtiesAccess to continuing education and leadership supportInclusive culture grounded in teamwork, trust, and shared purposeWhat You'll DoDeliver safe and effective anesthesia care to pediatrics through geriatric populationsAdminister anesthetics for a wide variety of surgical and non-surgical proceduresMonitor patients throughout anesthesia and recoveryCollaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and surgical teamsAdjust anesthetic plans as needed based on changing patient statusPractice independently within full CRNA scope of privilegesFloat between sites based on staffing needs and patient volumeWhat We're Looking ForEducation: BSN, MSN, DNP, and/or graduate diploma level certification required. Graduate from both an Accredited School of Nursing and School of Nurse Anesthesia. Certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA) as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and recognized by the state of practice as a CRNA. Must meet minimum continuing education requirements every four years of the NBCRNA, required.Experience: Previous experience is not necessary. Four to six week orientation period (working with preceptor) is required. Orientation period will depend on previous experience and clinical skills.Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. Current CRNA endorsement in appropriate state, required. NBCRNA certification, required. ACLS certification within NH policy, required. BLS certification within NH policy, required. PALS certification within NH policy, required.Additional Skills (required): Must have extensive knowledge of current anesthetic agents, techniques, drugs and equipment. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify the anesthetic plan of care suitable to patient age. Must have considerable ability to make independent decisions, sometimes under stress, and to maintain a professional demeanor with patients, coworkers and physicians.
