CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Multiple Openings Available: (1) Full-time, 40 hours/week, various day/evening shifts with rotating weekends; (2) Full-time, 36 hours/week, Monday–Wednesday 10:00 AM–11:00 PM with rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Follow established protocol for CT exam routines, producing quality diagnostic studies in an efficient and timely manner
• Properly warm up CT scanner, run QA, and bring up pressure injector, PACS units, and Meditech prior to scanning
• Adjust and manipulate images to required specifications including windowing, contrast, algorithm selection, accession separation, and creation of reformatted images
• Ensure all scans are properly identified anatomically with complete patient information, contrast volume, lot numbers, and accession data
• Report wet reading findings to physicians, the Emergency Department, and nursing units as needed; access RadPortal when necessary
• Complete administrative duties including tech edits, patient escort, room preparation, stocking supplies, and maintaining a clean and functional work area

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts state license in Radiological Technology required
• ARRT(CT) certification required
• Graduate of an AMA-approved educational program in Radiological Technology
• 3–5 years of CT technologist experience
• Proficiency with GE VCT and GE Evo/Evolution scanner platforms

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Med-Rad injectors, PACS, VRC, and Powerscribe
• Familiarity with RadPortal and CD burning for patient or emergency department use
• Ability to restore and retrieve prior exams for radiologist review
