Position Overview

Seeking qualified candidates for a position in a Stepdown Unit at a hospital facility in Cleveland, OH. This role provides essential support to patients recovering from acute illnesses while ensuring their ongoing medical care and monitoring.

Shift Details

• Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
• Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
• Rotating shifts may be required based on operational needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a progressive care unit.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor vital signs and provide ongoing assessments of patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Float to other units if necessary, including J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty.
• Progressive care unit experience is preferred but not required.
• Current Ohio nursing license or compact license is required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS must be active and held at the time of application.
• Ability to work at least every other holiday.

Professional Development

Candidates will undergo orientation, including ECG rhythm recognition tests and safe medication assessments, with acceptable scores required for continued employment.

Compliance Requirements

• Travel candidates must comply with all facility and regulatory requirements.
• A negative drug screen, including nicotine, is required for non-nurse roles.
• Background checks and licensing issues will be thoroughly reviewed.
