Data Engineer

Position Summary Caremark, LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Downer's Grove, IL: Data Engineer to design, build and manage large scale data structures, pipelines, and efficient Extract/Load/Transform (ETL) workflows to support business applications. Location and Work Arrangements Position based in Downer's Grove, IL. Telecommuting available. Multiple positions. Responsibilities Develop large scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data to generate insights and address reporting needs. Write ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, design database systems, and develop tools for real-time and offline analytic processing. Collaborate with Data Science team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes. Leverage knowledge of Hadoop architecture, HDFS commands, and designing and optimizing queries to build data pipelines. Utilize programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems. Build data marts and data models to support Data Science and other internal customers. Integrate data from a variety of sources and ensure adherence to data quality and accessibility standards. Analyze current information technology environments to identify and assess critical capabilities and recommend solutions. Experiment with available tools and advise on new tools to provide optimal solutions that meet the requirements dictated by the model/use case. Qualifications Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field and 6 months of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 6 months of experience in Agile methodologies. 6 months of experience in JIRA. 6 months of experience in cloud technologies: Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). 6 months of experience in SAS or SQL programming languages. 6 months of experience in Python. 6 months of experience in Tableau. 6 months of experience in domain support for healthcare or retail organization. 6 months of experience in developing backend services, performing code reviews, and collaborating with peers on software development solutions. 6 months of experience in relational database concepts. 6 months of experience in large‑scale applications development, data science, or data analytics projects. 6 months of experience in data analytics on large data sets in healthcare, business, or retail sector. 6 months of experience in Agile productivity tools and leading incremental software releases. 6 months of experience in developing data and analytics‑based platform capabilities, services, or products. 6 months of experience in healthcare data management processes and techniques, including data standards, interoperability, and proper data privacy. Pay Range $113,235.00/year to $135,960.00/year.
