For our new manufacturing plant in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, we are looking for a Tool Application Specialist Provide technical application solutions to sales managers and clients Visit Customers for strategic applications in accordance with department planning Produce Special tool quotations for requests, as well as for standard items and NS Tools withing the target quotation due date Advice customers on new products and existing product functions / capabilities Provide overall technical advice to all customers and distributors by phone, email or other support Interface with Mikron Tool in Switzerland for technical questions and problem solving Use and file proper paperwork associated with quotations / parameter requests / technical assistance / tool recommendations and applications history Support quotation process for all Mikron Tool locations worldwide Contribute in developing and sharing team knowledge Your profile Experience in cutting tool technology Expert knowledge in: Metallurgy, metal alloys and carbide Machining processes in drilling, milling and tapping Able to read technical drawings and to sketch ideas and concepts College education, emphasis on mechanical engineering Systematic and analytical thinking Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint Knowledge with SAP.
