Overview THE DEPARTMENT OF MEDICINE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA SAN FRANCISCO (UCSF) is recruiting for the position of Research Scientist in the Division of Geriatrics. The appointment will be made at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Adjunct Professor. Qualifications Candidates should have an MD and/or PhD. Physician candidates should be ABIM certified in Geriatrics and/or Palliative Medicine or ABIM board‑eligible for Geriatrics and/or Palliative Medicine, having completed a fellowship and demonstrated competence in the practice and teaching of clinical geriatrics and/or palliative medicine. Candidates should also have demonstrated excellence in patient‑oriented research or biology of aging research, have extramural funding and/or career development award funding, and ultimately develop an independent research program in aging research. Candidates must have recognized skills in teaching and mentoring in an academic and scientific‑based institution. Benefits The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. The minimum base salary range for this position is $127,000-$333,700. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides eligibility for additional compensation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
