Bookkeeper / Staff Accountant / Accounting Assistant Who: A growing, established $10M company is seeking a seasoned accounting professional who can be degreed or non-degreed and brings strong hands‑on accounting experience. What: This role will handle general ledger accounting, month-end close, debits and credits, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other day‑to‑day accounting responsibilities using QuickBooks. Salary: Approximately $60,000 annually, plus excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper, Staff Accountant, or Accounting Assistant with a strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and the ability to manage day‑to‑day transactional accounting as well as assist with month‑end close. The ideal candidate understands how transactions flow through the general ledger, is comfortable with debits and credits, and has hands‑on experience with QuickBooks. A college degree in accounting or finance is welcomed but not required . Practical accounting knowledge, accuracy, reliability, and relevant experience are more important than a specific educational background. Key Responsibilities Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Assist with and perform month‑end closing activities Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable Accurately record journal entries and accounting transactions Apply a strong working knowledge of debits and credits Perform account and bank reconciliations Research and resolve accounting discrepancies Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation Work extensively within QuickBooks Assist with additional accounting and administrative responsibilities as needed Qualifications Previous bookkeeping, staff accounting, accounting assistant, or similar hands‑on accounting experience Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting Solid understanding of debits and credits Experience with month‑end close Accounts payable and accounts receivable experience QuickBooks experience Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Accounting or finance degree is a plus but not required Ability to work in‑office in the Smyrna, Georgia area #J-18808-Ljbffr Staff Financial Group
