CT Technologist - St. Martin Hospital Radiology - PRN Position: CT Technologist – St. Martin Hospital Radiology – PRN (Grosse Tête, Louisiana) This position involves assessing patients and safely performing routine computed tomography procedures in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures and protocols. The technologist will serve as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students, ensuring accurate imaging studies while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities Verify physician order and procedures to ensure accuracy. Use radiology information systems to facilitate care and document findings. Explain procedures to patients, ensuring understanding and comfort. Operate imaging equipment independently to complete studies per protocol, including IV placement when needed. Review images prior to transmission to confirm diagnostic quality. Perform and document quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards. Assist with departmental operations, including inventory, staff scheduling, and equipment maintenance. Adapt communication style to meet patient needs and protect privacy. Perform additional related duties as required. Qualifications Education: Completion of an approved radiologic technology program. Experience: None required (preferred: CT experience). Certifications: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ARRT CT‑certified. ARRT registry eligible or state license within 90 days of employment. Current unrestricted state license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Advanced CT certification preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Proficiency with computers and software; effective verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills; knowledge of CT procedures and technical language; ability to work efficiently under pressure; self‑directed and adaptable; willingness to maintain a flexible schedule (nights, evenings, weekends, holidays, extended shifts, travel as necessary).
