Job Description:

This is a highly specialized Lead RN role focused on therapeutic apheresis and advanced cell-based procedures supporting both hospital patients and cutting-edge biologic therapies. You’ll work at the intersection of patient care, blood science, and emerging treatments like immunotherapy and CAR-T.

This healthcare company supports both blood collection and advanced biologics. Blood donations such as whole blood, plasma, platelets, and specialty cells are collected and then tested before being released to hospital partners or sent to specialty labs. On the biologics and research side, teams are actively supporting immunotherapy and cell-based treatments for cancer and other serious conditions.

In this role, you will primarily support therapeutic apheresis procedures where blood is removed, separated using a centrifuge, treated, and returned to the patient. These procedures help patients with sickle cell disease, autoimmune disorders, clotting issues, and those undergoing chemotherapy or transplant preparation. You may also support cell collections used for life-saving treatments like CAR-T therapy.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Perform advanced apheresis procedures including plasma exchange, red cell exchange, and platelet depletion

• Assess patients before, during, and after treatments to ensure safety and effectiveness

• Partner directly with physicians to develop and adjust treatment plans

• Serve as the clinical subject matter expert for apheresis procedures

• Educate patients, families, and care teams on procedures and expectations

• Recognize and respond to adverse reactions in real time

• Train and oversee medical assistants supporting procedures

• Coordinate labs, medications, and procedural logistics

• Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation

• Participate in research initiatives and implementation of new therapies
