Phlebotomist Trainee

Labcorp seeks a phlebotomy trainee in Anchorage, Alaska for an entry-level position combining patient intake duties with funded phlebotomy training. Successful candidates will attend paid phlebotomy school and work toward licensure while performing administrative and specimen-handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Attend assigned phlebotomy school paid by Labcorp within 30 days of hire
• Observe phlebotomy collections in patient service center or clinic settings
• Schedule patient appointments, greet patients, and assist with registration
• Perform data entry for patient demographics, billing, and insurance verification
• Prepare specimens and verify test orders with physician offices

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
• Proficient computer and typing skills
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
• Alpha-numeric data entry proficiency
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred
