Position Summary

NorthPointe Woods is looking for dependable, compassionate Direct Care Staff to join our team. In this role, you will provide hands-on assistance and daily support to our residents while helping maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming community.

The ideal candidate is someone who treats others with dignity and respect, works well as part of a team, and takes pride in providing quality care. Previous healthcare or senior living experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

What You’ll Do

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal care, mobility, and transfers.

• Follow each resident’s individualized care plan and provide support based on their needs and preferences.

• Promote residents’ independence, dignity, and quality of life.

• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and coworkers.

• Encourage residents to participate in social activities and community life.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.

• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.

• Assist with household responsibilities, including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.

• Communicate resident needs, concerns, and changes in condition to appropriate leadership.

• Report safety, maintenance, or other concerns promptly.

• Follow company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

• Work cooperatively with other members of the care team to provide consistent, quality service.

Qualifications

Required:

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

• Ability to assist residents with mobility and transfers and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to complete required documentation accurately.

• Willingness to obtain First Aid and CPR/AED certification.

Preferred:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in senior living, long-term care, home care, or a healthcare setting.

• Valid driver’s license.

Work Environment

This is an active, hands-on position in a senior living community. The role requires frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, and assisting residents throughout the shift.
